Information about RoHS-compatibility
Sep 08, 2015
We hereby inform you of the actions of Honeywell Life Safety Austria to comply with the new RoHS II Directive.
The primary objective of the RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC) is to restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical products and electronic equipment. Since 2006 the EU banned the sale of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) containing designated maximum allowable levels of certain toxic substances. In June 2011, the updated RoHS II directive (2011/65/EU) added new categories to the list of affected end products, including Category 9 - Monitoring and control instruments. Since July 22 2014 Fire Alarm Systems, Public Address and Voice Alarm systems and their components are subject to this Directive.
In this context, we continuously monitor the products of our suppliers. Compliant items only are added to our portfolio and offered to our customers. Of course, the ESSER by Honeywell products comply with RoHS II Directive.
